In the tiebreaker between Mark Kernighan and 2025 WOCC Champion Vladimir Lipman to determine the title of 2026 West Orange Chess Club Champion, after two tiebreak rounds, one game with each color at G30/d5 and one game with each color at G15/d5, of which all four games ended in draws, the tiebreaker came down to an Armageddon Game, with White getting 5 minutes (no delay or increment) and Black getting 4 minutes (no delay or increment) with the stipulation that White must win the game or Black is declared the winner, White (Kernighan) was victorious in the Armageddon Game and has won the title of 2026 West Orange Chess Club Champion!
