The West Orange Chess Club has a page and club on the free chess website Chess.com https://www.chess.com/ that can be joined by clicking https://www.chess.com/club/west-orange-chess-club/join/bf6d94. In addition to being a free website Chess.com is easy to join in a few simple steps, including creating a username, by clicking https://www.chess.com/register.
If not already a member club administrators Andrew Chan (andymanchan@yahoo.com) or Bryan Cohen (bryan6872@aol.com) will have to approve club membership so just include your actual name in your membership request description and/or your profile (if either is an option) so we will recognize you and one of us will then approve your membership. Andrew’s Chess.com username is MIOT_AC and Bryan’s is BryanCFB. Other WOCC officer usernames are John Hagerty (Chessflyfisher), Lev Zilbermintz (numismaticsandchess) and William Culbertson (brooklynwrc).
This page/club will hold game events and analysis on occasion, likely on nights when the WOCC is unexpectedly closed or maybe even on non club meeting weeknights or weekends. And in addition a Zoom chatroom may be set up to make it more like an in person club meeting.
Any information regarding an event will be shared on the club’s homepage, such as the event announcement, event link and Zoom ID.
